Sizing and Resizing Rows and Columns

Tabulation columns and rows are displayed in their default size. You can resize these areas by defining a specific row height or column width, or you can change the width or height to automatically fit the contents.

Set a column to a specific width

Select the required column(s)

Click on the Column Width option from the Resize Cells button (red box)

Specify the column width in the column width box

Click OK

Set a column to automatically fit the contents

Select the required columns

Click on the Autofit Column Width option from the Resize Cells button (blue box)

Use a mouse to change the column width

To change the width of one column, drag the boundary on the right side of the column heading until the column is the width that you want.

To change the width of multiple columns, select the columns that you want to change, and then drag a boundary to the right of a selected column heading.

Set a row to a specific height

Select the required crow(s)

Click on the Row Height option from the Resize Cells button (orange box)

Specify the row height in the column width box

Click OK

Set a row to automatically fit the contents

Select the required columns

Click on the Autofit Row Height option from the Resize Cells button (yellow box)

Use a mouse to change the row height

To change the height of one row, drag the boundary below the row heading until the row is the height that you want.

To change the height of multiple rows, select the rows that you want to change, and then drag the below any row heading to the height that you want.

Set a Column to default width

Select the required columns

Click on the default width option from the Resize Cells button (green box)
